Friend came back from India Visit...

His observation,

People who make Rs 1 lakh per month in India, are having fun. People who make Rs10,000 per month are having fun.
During Diwali, those who make more money, buy Sweets like Kaju Katri and Anjeer Pak costing Rs 800 per Kg. Those who are making less money, go and buy sweets costing Rs 50 by road side.

Sure there is struggle, but there is no Stress. Sure money is tight, but there is no depression. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter if you are eating sweets costing Rs 1000 or Rs 50, It doesn't matter if you are lighting up firecrackers worth thousands of rupees or few hundreds, people are happy.

It pains to him to recognize that he is a manager at microsoft, his wife is a dentist, yet he envies simple life of a middle class Indian, living, enjoying and thriving in India.

Life is funny.
